Top tips- how to teach your children to clean up after themselves!

One of the quandaries of parents and nannies worldwide is how to get the children to clean up after themselves. I'm guilty of leaving a mess around now and again, and can understand why it's such hassle for kids when there's just so much fun to be had elsewhere!

Here are a few tips we've thought of to help get the children into good habits:

- Start young: even toddlers can learn how to clean up after themselves
- Find a home: having a place for their precious things will help your children learn ownership, responsibility and care
- Be consistent: children learn a lot through routine
- Give acknowledgment: this is very important as children like to please and feel proud!

Parents, if your children have strayed and like to leave a mess, and your nanny is struggling to get things in order, remember to support her every day in her efforts!

The results will be that you and your family will have less arguments and more time for the important things, like spending quality time together.
