Finally the duty of care exists for both employer and employee. Your nanny should be made aware of the consequences to the employment relationship of failing to comply with your requirements (eg. that discipline or even dismissal may result). The nanny’s duty covers not only working safely to ensure that they don’t put themselves at risk but also ensuring through their behaviour does not put anyone else at risk including your children.
